Bio

Brandon Baghaee (b.2002) is a visual artist living and working in Toronto.

Brandon Baghaee currently attends OCAD University, studying Drawing and Painting. In his work, he explores identity, culture, and history through surrealist and fantastical painting effects, creating narratives through memory and speculative ideas. There are hints of his heritage, influenced by his bi-racial background being Persian and Black. He has participated in group exhibitions such as The Archive of Merit: From OSA to OCAD and a solo show at The Drake Hotel. He also did a project for Scotiabank Arena and Sports and the Arts, the City of Toronto, and public art for STEPS Public Art. He has also given artist talks, visiting his old high school to speak to the Grade 12 AP Arts Class and speaking at the Young Voices 2022 Magazine launch.
